About this event

Kora is Nepal's largest single-day mass participation cycling event, held every year on the third Saturday of July. The 2026 edition (main ride day) is Saturday 18 July 2026 and runs simultaneously in 20+ locations across Nepal plus several cities abroad, with each city run by its own local organising crew. Pokhara is one of the confirmed 2026 host cities listed on the official registration portal. Riders choose distances ranging from short family/kids loops up to 25km, 50km, 75km, 100km and a 165km ultra; it is explicitly 'not a race and not a rally' but a community ride.

Kora was started by socialtours and is co-organised nationally by Cycle City Network Nepal and Pangro Outdoor Events, with each year tied to a charitable cause (the 2026 cause supports Project Edukick in Sarlahi, keeping children in school). Registration is handled online at the official Kora portal where riders select their city; participation is donation/registration-based for the cause rather than a fixed-price concert ticket.

Start time and the precise route start point in Pokhara are set by the local Pokhara organiser; the early-morning 6:00 start and midday finish shown here are typical for Kora and should be confirmed on the registration portal/local Pokhara Kora page closer to the date.
