Explore What Empire Took, What Empire Left: Museums, Borders and the Politics of Return in South Asia, a contemporary art exhibition at Taragaon Next curated by Dr. Arshiya Mansoor Lokhandwala. Presented by The Saraf Foundation, the exhibition brings together artists from across South Asia to examine colonial displacement, restitution, museums, borders and cultural memory. Opening day on August 23 includes a symposium at 3:00 PM followed by the exhibition opening at 4:00 PM. The exhibition continues through October 31, 2026. Taragaon Next is open daily from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Standard venue admission is Rs 300; student admission is Rs 200. Tickets are available at the venue.
