About this spot

Boudhanath, usually called Boudha, is a major Buddhist pilgrimage site in northeastern Kathmandu. Join the clockwise circuit around the stupa and leave room for worshippers at the prayer wheels. Early morning and evening are useful times to see daily devotional activity. Allow about an hour; monastery access, café purchases and heritage entry are separate considerations.

Nepal Tourism Board identifies Boudha as the largest stupa in the Kathmandu Valley.
