About this spot

Champadevi is a moderate ridge hike above Pharping on Kathmandu’s southern edge. From the upper Hattiban trailhead, allow 3½–5 hours to reach the shrine and return; starting lower adds time. The summit is about 2,280 m, with valley and mountain views when visibility allows.

Arrange the return ride before starting and allow 45–90 minutes each way from central Kathmandu. Carry water, lunch and rain protection, and turn back early if fog or storms build. Confirm the chosen trailhead and any local access charge; the route does not require an overnight stay.
