BSides Kathmandu 2026 brings security talks, hands-on villages and a live CTF to Budhanilkantha on 21 November.
Nepal's first BSides conference is a one-day, volunteer-led gathering for security practitioners, researchers, developers, students and people entering the field. The programme includes a Main Stage, a Rookie Stage for first-time speakers, a hardware hacking village, a CTF arena and an open-source showcase. The detailed session programme is due from 10 November; check the organizer's site for updates.
Date and time: Saturday, 21 November 2026, 10:00 AM–6:00 PM Nepal time. Venue: Lemon Tree Premier, Budhanilkantha Municipality, Ward No. 1, Kathmandu, Nepal. Organizer: BSides Kathmandu, in collaboration with Softwarica College of IT & E-Commerce.
Admission is paid. Current early-bird tickets (until 4 November, while available): Student NPR 1,900; General NPR 2,400; Corporate + After Party NPR 5,000. Published later phases: 5–15 November, Student NPR 2,200, General NPR 3,000, Corporate NPR 6,000; from 16 November, Student NPR 2,600, General NPR 3,600, Corporate NPR 7,000. The after-party is included only with the Corporate pass. Students must bring a matching valid student ID. All passes include talks, village and CTF access, lunch, refreshments and the optional venue shuttle. The organizer offers a limited student scholarship application until 9 November. Ticket Sanjal says tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable unless the event is cancelled or rescheduled, and sharp or defensive objects are prohibited.
